We do tours from the beginning of April through the end of October each year, by appointment, and then over the winter from time to time.

The Groves is open from roughly May 1st through October 31st. The actual dates are dependent on the weather and when we can open and close our water system.

If you don't plan on being at the campground during an event (for example, NASCAR or Big Fam), you can let us know if you would like to rent your camper and we will handle the rest. Then we split the rental. You can often make $600-$800 for your share of the rental fee which helps to defer the cost of your annual site rental.

Yes, with some exceptions for RVs that are really good condition. In general, RVs that are less than 15 years old are acceptable. Older RVs that have been restored or are in very nice condition will also be allowed. We will request to see recent exterior photos of any RV over 10 years old.

If you are becoming a seasonal camper for the upcoming season, the first payment for the season of $600 is due when you hold your spot (ongoing seasonal campers make this payment by October 15th). The balance of the payment is due by March 1st.

Payments for seasonal camping can be made by check, cash, Venmo and Zelle. Credit cards can also be used, but a 3% charge will be added on.

At the Groves, you will name 5 people on your site as the site members. The other four (in addition to you) can be anyone you chose (spouse, siblings, children, friends etc.). If other people come that aren't named, they are guests.

As of now, we do not charge for guests to visit except for NASCAR weekend and other events.

Most of the sites at the Groves that we use for seasonal camping are larger than normal camp sites. The minimum site size in Michigan (which is what is found at many campgrounds) is 30 feet by 40 feet for 1,200 square feet. Most of our seasonal sites are 2,000 square feet and over.

Yes, the Groves allows sheds and decks as long as they are in good condition and are approved in advance.

Decks with roofs can no longer be put into campsites in Michigan. Several of our seasonal campers have put gazebos on decks which the Groves allows, but cannot guarantee that the State inspectors at some point may have an issue.

You can have a golf cart at the Groves and both electric and gas golf carts are allowed. Golf carts must have liability insurance on them. There are gold cart rules, but the main ones are:

• The speed limit is 10 MPH.
• Drivers must be 18 or older AND have their drivers license.
• Golf carts are not allowed in certain locations during events and festivals.
• After dark, golf carts must remain in the main campground (not in the woods or back roads)
• No cruising after quiet hours begin - but you can return to your site from another site.</

The Groves has a shower building in the main campground. It was renovated in 2023.

The Groves has two dump stations and also does a pump out service. Currently, the pump outs are done every other Sunday morning. The cost for seasonals is $20 per service or 6 services for $100. A seasonal looking for service every other week would pay $200 and for once a month service, the cost would be $100 per season.

The Groves does not have septic at the sites.

Most of our seasonal campers own portable honey totes that they take to one of the dump stations.

The Groves will have specific days when seasonal campers can come in to the campground to check on their camper. In the spring (April), we try to open every weekend so that campers can come prepare their campers and sites. Campers cannot stay overnight on these weekends.

The Groves has a few seasonals who stay full time (stay in their camper 7 days a week) during our season and they go south in the winter.

However, most of our seasonals come mainly on weekends, holidays and a few weeks of vacation.

We address each full-time request on a case by case basis.
